Through History, battle re-enacting, The
Knights Of Honour, Devilstick
Peat our resident Jester and demonstrations from the
SCA
The Kingdom of Drachenwald. There were falconers from Out
On A Wing Falconry and a medieval
market with traders selling their exotic and varied
wares.
There was story telling and tales on Saturday from 'The
Yarnsmith of Norwich' and on Sunday from Brother
Lawrence, a medieval monk. There was a living history
encampment, pole lathe turning, weaving, an historic blacksmith
handcrafting tools, etc and general activities including
have-a-go archery.
Throughout the weekend, medieval band Serpentyne
was strolling around, to regale the crowds with authentic
minstrelsy. They was also running 'medieval ceilidhs',
where they taught the fun loving how to shake a leg in
genuine medieval style. A competition was be held for
the best children’s period costume and a children’s
tournament was staged.
A great fun day
out was had by all !
