About the event
|
The Snailwell Medieval Fayre is an annual event which takes place in early May. The 2010 event, the fifth annual Fayre, will take place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th May.
This years event will include Horses through history,
The Hereward Vanguard, battle re-enacting, The Knights of Honour, Devilstick Peat (Jester), medieval music by Maggie Sand and Sandragon, a falconer - Out on a wing Falconry and a medieval market with traders selling their wares.
There will be story telling and tales from 'The Yarnsmith of Norwich', a living history encampment, pole lathe turning, weaving, an historic blacksmith handcrafting tools, etc and general activities including have-a-go archery and a crossbow shooting range.
A competition will be held for the best children’s period costume , for best adult's period costume and a children’s tournament will be organised by The Hereward Vanguard.
